Bio
My name is Seph Smith. I have been training in martial arts since Feb. 2001. I am a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Lloyd Irvin, a 2nd degree black belt in Combat Sombo under David Womack, and am 4-3 in MMA. I have competed in several forms of grappling over the years including Judo, BJJ, Sombo, Submission Wrestling, and Folk Style Wrestling. I’ve also trained boxing and Muay Thai extensively under several instructors over the years. I referee for several organizations namely U.S. Grappling, Grapplers Quest, NAGA, Bud Cup, Grapplemania, and Mission Submission. I currently teach BJJ, Submission Grappling, and MMA at my own school called 50/50 BJJ with Ryan Hall located inside the Sports and Health Gym in the Ballston Common Mall in Arlington Virginia. I am not a hobbyist. I have dedicated my life to learning and teaching martial arts as a full time career. I promise to do everything in my power to help you get to a high level in martial arts. Whatever your goals are, whether you want to compete, learn self defense, or just want to get in shape by doing something that is constantly exciting and challenging as opposed to repetitive and boring, and routine as weightlifting at the gym, I can help you reach them!
I am currently the #2 RATED grappler from Ratedgrapplingleague.com
